Step 4 (continued) - now click an each cylinder, in order to get them selected.
Step 5 - activate the »selection«-switch in the lower left corner of the screen (this is important !!! ) and choose the command »csg« | »difference«. Step 6 - click on the box on top of the columns, as it is the object, we want to modify. Step 7 - click on the selected cylinders to complete the CSG-difference-operation. · After step 7 the CSG-object is fully built and you can make a test-rendering if you want. If you are going to do a test-rendering, don't forget to check out the positions of the cameras and lights first. |
More CSG-objects for the temple
· We will now create some objects, which we will apply to our temple-scene. Before we do that, we have to correct one thing: the temple - so far - has just columns on the frontside. In order to arrange this, we will copy the frontside including the CSG-objects to the back, to the right and to the left. For this you can use the commands »selection« | »area« and »selection« | »object«.
NOTE: After you have copied the front-columns to the back (this should be the first step in the procedure), you also have to copy one of the banisters, to fill the space in the middle. After this, copy the back column-row to the left and right of the temples, using the commands »modify« | »copy«, »rotate« and »translate« (for exact alignment). Certainly you can also download the fully aligned scene TMPLCSG2.ZIP (ca. 14 kB). |
