BUTTON-CONTROLS


The button controls work pretty much like the main-menu. That means, klicking on a button will display sub- or even sub-sub-button clusters. According to the activated buttons, it is most likely, that dialogboxes or other controls will apear, in order to let the user perform the desired action. All in all, there are seven main-button-controls.

Camera (used for...)
  • creating up to 10 different cameras
  • deleting single cameras
  • re-positioning the cameras (translate)
  • setting the display-color for the camera-objects
  • hiding/displaying the cameras
  • setting up the field of view (short lens, zoom etc.)
  • setting up the focal-blur-parameters
  • setting up special camera-parameters manually
Light (used for...)
  • creating/deleting/translating/re-sizing light sources
  • setting the display-color for the light-source-objects
  • hiding/displaying the lights
  • setting up specific parameters like »fall-off«, »hot-spot« (etc.) for special light-sources like »spotlights«, »arealights«, »cylindrical lights« (etc.)
  • setting up special light-parameters manually
Material (used for...)
  • selecting a texture from the texture-library
  • acquiring the texture from an existing object
  • assigning the currently selected texture to objects
  • rotating/scaling/translating the textures of objects
  • undoing the rotating/scaling/translating of textures (re-initialize)
  • setting up the finish-parameters manually
  • assigning images for mapped textures
  • setting up image-maps manually
Selection (used for...)
  • selecting/deselecting objects manually
  • selecting all objects (and deselecting all selected objects)
  • selecting objects with the mouse
  • selecting objects by their name or texture
  • setting parameters for the selected objects (hollow, no shadow etc.)

Render (used for...)
  • initiating the render-sequence in different qualities (preview, quick, optimum final)
  • setting the region for partial image-rendering
  • setting global parameters like »atmosphere«, »fog« and »background color«
  • specifying the color depth of the output-image (64 levels of gray, 256/66k/16M colors)
  • selecting the video-card for »display-during-render«
  • re-viewing the last rendered image
  • setting special render-parameters manually
Modify (used for...)
  • rotating/scaling (2D & 3D)/translating of objects
  • copying and deleting objects
  • centering objects to the coordinate-origin
  • undoing the rotating/scaling/translating of objects
  • setting the modify-parameters manually
  • setting the display-color of objects
  • smoothing shape, triangles (RAW-files)
  • mirroring objects
Display (used for...)
  • hiding objects manually
  • displaying/hiding all objects
  • inverting the current hide-/show-status
  • hiding the last hidden object again
  • hiding a selection of objects
  • setting the display-parameters (normal, fast, cubic)
  • freezing objects (cannot be modified)
  • excluding objects from re-centering
CSG (used for...)
  • creating CSG-operations (merge, union etc.)
  • removing CSG-operations
  • showing/hiding CSG-objects
